About Acquiring Hope...Welcome. My daughter Hope Ellen was born an angel on Mother's Day, May 12, 2013, at 19 weeks 2 days gestation. She was my firstborn, but not my first angel baby. I had three miscarriages (prior to eight weeks) before I got pregnant with Hope. It was a difficult and complicated pregnancy, but she gave me hope that one day I will make it all the way and have a baby to keep, to hold and to raise.
If you've found this page, you or someone you know may have a similar story. For that I am deeply sorry. But you are here now and among similarly bereaved parents. In creating this blog I sought to form a community of support and understanding. I hope to let the world know that we exist, our babies existed, and we will love them and miss them forever. I hope to show everyone that it's OK to talk to us about our babies and to do so honors their memories. I have posted photos of Hope in the Gallery. She was very small and very bruised. If you are sensitive you may not want to view them. Please join me in sharing your child's story. I am part of a support group for miscarriage and infant loss. The Facebook link below takes you to the Precious Reflections Infant Loss Support Group page. If you have any questions or just want to send me a message you can use the form to the right or any of the email icons on the site.
